Welcome to the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast, where the charm and romance of yesterday partners with the comforts of today. Situated in the quaint, historically designated town of North East, we are midway between Erie PA and Chautauqua NY, home of the renowned Chautauqua Institute.
From the moment you arrive, we tantalize your senses with the scent of home-baked bread and cookies and the visually stunning craftsmanship and detail of a world of almost two centuries past. Our side-by-side mansions, built in the early Victorian Age, have withstood the test of time.
Each of our beautifully decorated rooms and suites are named after different varieties of local grapes, and are appointed to be comfortable and elegant. Relax with a glass of local wine next to a fire in the Library or on a rocking chair on the front porch.
Your first visit may be to enjoy the activities of Lake Erie and the surrounding wine country or the rich heritage found in the greater Chautauqua region. Your return, however, may just be for our breakfasts. We invite you to experience our baked goods—all made from scratch daily. We use only the finest ingredients and local produce whenever possible. We even cure and smoke our own bacon. Our reviews tell the story better than we could.
Welcome to the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast for the first time, and every time. We look forward to seeing you for breakfast.
The cold air outside reminds me how grateful I am to have a toasty fire by which to warm my fingers and toes.
It can be hard to imagine on a cold day, but the warmth of Summer will be here before we know it. Our coats will be stored for the season while we pursue the many joys of the warmer seasons.
But until then, I will keep our many hearths warm and toasty for my brave Winter visitors that are on their way.
