North East, Pennsylvania Attractions

There is an abundance of activities in the area!
The
Grape Arbor Bed
and Breakfast is located in the village of North East, just fifteen minutes east of Erie, Pennsylvania.
With its shops, restaurants and parks, our town has been designated a National Historic Landmark District. Harvest festivals, Gibson days, and many other special events dot the calendar all year long.
North East is nestled among the fragrant vineyards that hug the southern shore of Lake Erie. Our vineyards also form part of the Chautauqua Wine Trail, producing wines for all tastes from fruity native Labruscas and exquisite French-American wines to European-style Chardonnays and Rieslings. Tour any of the five local wineries and sample their award winning wines.
Relax and visit the many antique shops in the general vicinity, ride your bike along the Seaway Trail, have a well-paced game of golf, or experience NASCAR racing at the Lake Erie Speedway, NASCAR's newest track.
Lake Erie itself is a vast natural resource that offers exceptional sailing, fishing, swimming, picnicking and beach combing. The town's public marina is a mere three miles from the Grape Arbor Bed & Breakfast.
Penn
State-Behrend, Gannon University and Mercyhurst are three local universities and colleges within easy driving distance of your home away from home. North East is home to an historic campus extension of Mercyhurst-within walking distance of the inn.
Presque Isle State Park, Pennsylvania's Flagship Niagara, Chautauqua Institution, and Peak 'n Peak Ski Resort are all less than thirty minutes from our Bed
and Breakfast.
