One of things I most look forward to when the warm weather finally shows up is eating outside. I do like grilling and cooking outside, but if I go to a restaurant and have a choice of eating inside or out…I will always choose out. Unless it is to sit next to a parking lot or highway with cars zooming past…no, I want a view and quiet.
So where to go when you are visiting us at Grape Arbor? The first choice, of course, has to be on the lake. The best (and only) choice for eating lakeside is Noosa, a mere 10 minute drive away. It is right on the marina, so you can’t get any closer to to water than that. Seating is inside and out; the menu is limited by innovative. All bar drinks are PA based. We have reviewed this restaurant before in this blog, definitely worth checking out.
There is also some limited seating outside at the Skunk and Goat…you are right across the street from Gibson Park, and they have put some very nice planters to separate diners from folks walking along the street. The Skunk is the re-formulated Cork 1794 Restaurant, there is tavern food but full menus as well.
And then there is the unexpected deck area at The Ruffed Grouse (which is now slowly becoming Pub20). The deck is in the back, and pretty private. The last couple of times that I was there there were only a few tables. The food is standard bar food, but really good burgers, and some good salad choices.
Enough choices, right? And there some I haven’t even mentioned–ask me when you check in!
