A single massage is an hour, and couples is two hours using two tables and running concurrently.

We recently put a few questions to Becca:

WHAT LEAD YOU TO YOUR DECISION YEARS AGO TO BECOME AN LMT AND WHAT CAUSED YOU TO CHOOSE THE MODALITIES THAT YOU USE?

“Well, it was “a God thing”.  Once the decision was made to pursue it, the doors just flew open and I knew I was on the right path.

I was looking at the newspaper and an ad for massage therapy caught my attention. As a child I always managed to have my hand on peoples backs.  I thought it was a show of affection or assurance, and it was,  but it turned out to be a sign of something more.  Something inside told me to pursue Massage Therapy as a profession. The next day, a Friday, I interviewed at the school and I started classes the very next Monday.  I flew through the training and education and started immediately on graduation in an Erie doctor’s office.  Six months later, I went out on my own and have been enjoying helping people ever since.

It is definitely my clients that  led me to study and learn more and more techniques.  Different people have different issues and ways they want and need to be helped. That has always intrigued me and led me to further study.”Image of lotus leaves and smooth black stones

WHAT CAN A GUEST CLIENT EXPECT AT A FIRST MASSAGE SESSION?

“Wear clothing that is not restrictive and is easy to remove and put back on.  For the actual massage, you will be down to your briefs.  Beyond that, it’s simple.  Drop your expectations because your body will ‘talk’ to me and tell me what to do.”

CAN YOU DEBUNK A MASSAGE MYTH FOR US?

“Oh, yes.  There is NO SUCH THING as a deep tissue massage.  Massage is a healing modality, not a beat up session.  I am attuned as are all true Massage Therapists and I will go as deep as the body needs.  Again, the body will tell me what to do.

Massage is an educated profession.  Do not go to unlicensed massage hacks.  Uneducated, inexperienced “massage” people can be dangerous.  Hot stones in the wrong hands can be dangerous.”
