Grape Arbor Re-Opening

logo stay safe, stay small, stay InnWe are excited to announce that we are officially re-opening Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast effective May 25th.  I cannot wait to see you again!  During this time, we have been working hard to make the changes required to enhance the safety of both our staff and guests.

Liz, April and myself are all here to welcome you!  You may not recognize us in our masks and gloves.  Trust me, we are smiling!  I wanted to make your away of some of the changes that we have made; all of this information is available on our House Rules page.

1. Staff have increased their hand-washing schedule to meet or exceed CDC guidelines and anyone feeling sick is staying home.

2. We encourage all guests to wash their hands frequently; soap is provided in your rooms and we have locally manufactured sanitizer ( Five and Twenty Spirits ) available in the common areas.

3. Please! If you feel sick, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID19, or have recently been in contact with anyone who has tested positive–stay home!  We are being as flexible as possible with cancellation policies.Liz and Peggy smiling behind masks!

Cleaning is different!

We have always been proud of our diligent cleaning efforts at the Inn.  One of my favorite reviews commented that our rooms were “Disney” clean!  But new times call for new policies.  For the time being we are discontinuing any room freshens during your stay. This means that you will be the first and only person going into the room once it has been cleaned and sanitized.  If you need additional towels, soap, or other amenities, please ask us at breakfast, or call/text us.  We are happy to leave them outside your door!

The rooms look a little different, as we have worked to remove any items that cannot be washed/sanitized with every visit.  We are making every effort to comply with CDC recommendations, PA Department of Health guidelines, and AHLA STAY SAFE enhanced guidelines.

Check-ins are different!

During this phase of opening we are implementing contact-less check-ins.  What does this mean?  As your reservation approaches, you will receive an automated check-in form. Please complete the form as requested.  Once we receive it back, we will send you directions telling you where you can park, enter the building and pick your key!  You may come and pick up your key anytime after 3pm on the date of your arrival.

Because of our enhanced cleaning protocols, we will not be able to accommodate any check-ins earlier than 3pm.  We will be available by phone or text if you have any problems or questions.

Breakfast is different!

We will still be serving our famous multi-course breakfast but you will notice that we will be wearing gloves and a mask.  We are spreading out our breakfast locations so that everyone can be properly distanced.  There will be two times for breakfast, 8am and 9:30am.  We ask that if you choose the 8am breakfast to plan on spending no more than an hour at your table, to give us time to clean and sanitize the area for the next guest.

If you are not comfortable with a sit down breakfast, we are happy to leave a breakfast bag outside your door, which will include water, fruit, and a muffin or other fresh goodie.

Because the world is different…

Right now, any restaurants in the area that are open are take out only.  We will be e:mailing you our welcome book that has that information listed.

Once the breakfast service is finished, we will clean several areas and clearly designate them as places where you can sit and enjoy your takeout, including the sun porch, the library, and, in nice weather, the courtyard outside.  We ask that you call or text us when you have finished your meal, so that we can come and clean the area for use by the next guest.

Different, yes, but still the same relaxing atmosphere as always!  Hope to see you soon!
